COFFEE ORIGIN: UGANDA BUGISU ELGON (250 GR)

Coffee with an excellent balance of body and aroma that has a remarkable refined acidity. This coffee tastes fruity (wine-like) and slightly sweet. You will notice citrus sensations with notes of raisins and figs. To add more points to the coffee experience, this coffee can present some chocolatey notes.

It is grown in small coffee plots in western Uganda. It can grow to an altitude of 2000 meters, a real world record. As this coffee is at high altitude and with a temperate climate, it has a slow maturation. This is a blessing for those who want coffees rich in nuances and flavors that are a surprise on the palate.

This Ugandan coffee is our African “Blue Mountain”

African "Blue Mountain"

Popularly known as the “pearl of Africa”, Uganda has an exceptional climate for growing coffee. Being close to Lake Victoria, the second largest lake in the world, it has a fairly mild climate throughout the year, with two fairly abundant rainy seasons. This, together with the highly fertile volcanic soil of the country, makes Uganda a country of exuberant nature where coffee grows spontaneously.

It began to be introduced at the beginning of the last century in different areas of the country: Mount Elgon in the east, the Rwenzori mountains in the southwest and the west of the Nile in the northwest.
